Best Practice for Drying SodaStream bottles
The key to quick and efficient drying of SodaStream bottles is to keep the bottle upside down and provide proper ventilation. Flipping the bottle upside down lets the water drain out, minimizing leftover moisture, which speeds up the drying process significantly.
Don’t Forget About the Cap
When drying your SodaStream bottle, don’t forget about the cap. The silicone seal is prone to mold growth, especially in damp conditions. Hence, make sure to put it on a drying rack or dry it upside down so there is enough airflow around the silicone seal.
Hot Water Rinse?
You might wonder whether rinsing the bottle in hot water might speed up the drying time. Even though it would likely help, since you should not drink hot water from the tap (more on that topic in our other post), we prefer to finish cleaning the bottles with a cold water rinse. This is particularly useful when you may need to use the bottle before it fully dries.
